Production Source Screening for Insulation Materials
If a material sits outside what our partners run, we can look further rather than steer you to a near fit.
No supplier makes everything. The question is what happens when you ask for something that falls outside a supplier range — whether you get an honest answer, or a nearby product presented as equivalent.
Because we are not tied to a single production line, when a requirement sits outside what our partners run we can look into other sources for it. Whether that is worth doing depends on the item, the quantity and how far outside the range it sits.
This is something we do in response to a specific requirement rather than a standing service we run in the background. If you have a material we do not list, it is worth asking — the answer may be that we can find it, and it may be that you are better served elsewhere.
[ In practice ]
What this looks like
Where a requirement falls outside our partner range
We can look into other production sources rather than proposing the nearest thing we already supply.
An honest answer about fit
If another supplier is genuinely better placed for a material, saying so costs us one order and keeps a relationship worth more than that.
Scope agreed before we start
What is realistic depends on the material and quantity. We would set expectations before looking rather than after.
When this is relevant
Relevant when you need a material outside our listed catalogue, or a specification our partners do not currently produce.

Production Source Screening
Is this a standing service you offer to everyone?
It is a response to a specific requirement rather than a service running in the background. If you have a material we do not list, raise it and we will tell you honestly whether we can source it well or whether you are better served elsewhere.
What does it cost?
Where it results in an order, it is part of that order rather than a separate charge. Where the scope is larger, we would agree how it works before starting rather than presenting it afterwards.
Will you tell us if another supplier is a better fit?
Yes. We would rather lose one order than have you find out after a container arrives that the material was never right.
Tell us what you need to buy
Send the grades, thicknesses and quantities — or just describe the machine you build. We reply within one working day, and we will tell you plainly if something is outside what we can supply well.
